Adjustable wrench referred to as the adjustable wrench, the opening width can be adjusted within a certain range, is used to tighten and loosen different specifications of nuts and bolts a tool. Adjustable wrench is a common tool for maintenance workers, because its opening can be adjusted within a certain range, it is very convenient to use, not only can be used for standard metric bolts and imperial bolts, but also can be used for some homemade non-standard bolts.
The inventor of the adjustable wrench is the Swedish Johan Petter Johansson (1853-1943), who invented the adjustable wrench in 1892.
The adjustable wrench is composed of a head and a handle, and the head is composed of an active plate lip, a mechanical lip, a plate mouth, a turbine and a shaft pin. The rotating turbine can adjust the size of the plate opening.
Use requirement
(1) When pulling the large nut, a large torque is commonly used, and the hand should be held near the end of the handle.
(2) When pulling the small nut, the torque used is not large, but the nut is too small and easy to slip, so the hand should be held near the position of the plate head. In this way, the vortex wheel can be adjusted at any time to tighten the lip of the movable plate to prevent slipping.
(3) The adjustable wrench can not be reversed to avoid damaging the lip of the plate, and the steel pipe can not be used to increase the torque of the long handle.
